A Life Long Dream Come True
Long, long ago we boated about on the lakes of Arizona in a 21ft SeaRay Saville. To two new college grads in their first 'real' jobs, it was our first yacht. We had the dream of owning a proper yacht, and perused yacht listings often to oogle over truly grand vessels and imagine that one day, one of them would be ours.
Three decades later, we took delivery of Ciamar. When asked about the name, we always explain that it derives from the Ventian Latin for "to invoke," and also plays off the Latin word for sea (mare). But that's just a cover story. For the real story, you need to join us on board.
We created this blog to have a special place where WE can capture memories of our time on Ciamar without clogging up our social media feed with 'boat spam'. Subscribe to follow along. Very little of what's on the M/Y Ciamar site will show up on facebook.
